FINDINGS, REMEDIATION & RETESTING

A finding should explain the risk and help someone remove it.

zer0cipher connects customer-facing claims to affected scope, technical evidence, remediation guidance, and a supported verification method where one exists.

An example finding

One issue, with the affected instances attached.

Repeated observations consolidate into a canonical issue, while the member assets and the validating evidence stay attached for technical drill-down.

WHY IT MATTERS

Unsigned SMB sessions can enable relay paths when the surrounding conditions align.

PROOF

Affected assets and the validating evidence remain attached to the finding.

REMEDIATION

Review applicability, rollout prerequisites, change risk, and the supported retest.

Proof stays attached to the fix.

Fix it opens the remediation dossier; qualified execution remains subject to review and policy.

Written for the reader

One finding, projected for each person who acts on it.

For managers

The decision

What happened, why it matters, affected scope, priority, and the next decision — without the raw tool noise.

For remediators

The fix

Affected assets, prerequisites, evidence, root cause, remediation guidance, change risks, and the verification method.

For operators

The evidence

Permissioned access to the artifacts and execution detail behind the customer-facing narrative.

Remediation maturity

Say what has been proven, not what a model hopes.

An exposed service, a corroborated weakness, and a successful exploit are different claims — and so is a fix. Remediation confidence is visible, and it escalates only when the evidence earns it.

01

Suggested

Review and run manually. The guidance has not earned an execution claim.

02

Assisted

Reserved for a script whose actual operations, rollback, blast radius, and approval requirements have been qualified.

03

Proven

Applied only after an independent retest returns fixed.

Supported retests return fixed, still exposed, or inconclusive; a finding without a suitable independent retest cannot be called proven. zer0cipher does not currently market autonomous host-mutating remediation as a production capability.
